Blog Chat Etiquette

These are some simple guidelines to make the blog chat room a positive, enjoyable and enlightening experience for everyone. Please note that as this is a chat room, we chat! Do not flood the chat room, or post without interacting with others.

EXPAND
Be friendly

Remember that these are real people you are chatting with. They may have different opinions to you and come from different cultures. Treat them as you would face to face, and respect their opinions, and they will treat you the same.

Be Patient

Give the room a chance to answer you. Patience is a virtue. And if after awhile, people don't respond, perhaps they don't know the answer or they did not see your question. Do ask again or address someone directly. Do not be offended if people do not or are unable to respond to you.

Be Relevant

This is the blog of H.E. Tsem Rinpoche. Please respect this space. We request that all participants here are respectful of H.E. Tsem Rinpoche and his organisation, Kechara.

Be polite

Avoid the use of language or attitudes which may be offensive to others. If someone is disrespectful to you, ignore them instead of arguing with them.

Please be advised that anyone who contravenes these guidelines may be banned from the chatroom. Banning is at the complete discretion of the administrator of this blog. Should anyone wish to make an appeal or complaint about the behaviour of someone in the chatroom, please copy paste the relevant chat in an email to us at care@kechara.com and state the date and time of the respective conversation.

Please let this be a conducive space for discussions, both light and profound.

That was one time our precious guru, H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, asked his root guru, Kyabje Zong Rinpoche’s advice on which Dharma Protector he should practice for the rest of his life to remove obstacles. Kyabje Zong Rinpoche said to Rinpoche that – “If you want, I will give you my Dharma Protector.” Since then, Rinpoche follows Kyabje Zong Rinpoche’s advice and never give up Dorje Shugden practice no matter how much difficulties Rinpoche has faced for the past 2 decades.

Thank you Rinpoche. Because of your strong guru devotion, compassion and determination in spreading the dharma for the benefit of others, we only have the opportunity to know and practice Dorje Shugden. It doesn’t matter what other people think and choose for their religious, but we need to stay firm and believe in Rinpoche and Dorje Shugden.

Now, I am grateful to see these 6 different languages of Dorje Shugden’s booklets, cards, wallet sized prayer cards and pendants are being prepared and to be distributed to everyone. May everyone from different age, gender, races and nationality be blessed and protected by Dorje Shugden.

Deepavali the festival of lights is observed by Hindus faith in the seventh month of the Hindu calendar. It is one of the most important festivals of the year for the Hindus who celebrate in traditional customs. There are said to be many different stories about the origin of the festival ,here in Malaysia its more or less family reunion ,gathering and going to temples. As a multi-cultural country with a diverse mix of cultural traditions ,Deepavali is celebrated by the other faith to foster a closer relationship to live harmony and peacefully.
Leading up to Deepavali, shopping has to be done for new clothes and for the making of traditional Indian goodies. Beautiful colourful kolams can be seen in shopping malls, hotels and homes which i do enjoyed looking.
Inviting friends and relatives over with delicious indian dishes and sweets is a must for celebration.
    Thank you Rinpoche for sharing.

Dorje Shugden arose as a Dharma Protector since 350 years ago and due to our karma, Dorje Shugden is very swift, powerful and become the most helpful Dharma Protector for us. Therefore, when we have faith in guru and Dorje Shugden, we pray and learn his practice sincerely, wear Dorje Shugden pendant, bring along Dorje Shugden Tsa Tsa wherever we go, we are definitely be protected by Dorje Shugden.

Thank you for sharing this post and grateful that Karen’s brother, Chong Chin Wei, and his friends were being saved from the accident.

The Vitamin A in tomatoes is very good in improving our vision. It is also very good in prevent the development of night blindness. Due to these reasons, I started to include more tomatoes in my daily meals in order to reduce puffy eyes caused by strain and tired eyes.

Thanks for posting this informative article.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

This picture is of KB lovingly holding Mumu while he tries to stand up. I was in the room with them and someone else took this picture. It is a very sad and poignant picture because just a short while after this picture was taken, Mumu passed away with all of us present. This was the last picture of my little Mumu alive. We immediately did puja for Mumu and he is sorely missed by many as he touched our lives deeply. Tsem Rinpoche

Practising makes you better at something. If you keep practising in laziness, that is what you will become good in. If you keep practising generosity, that is what you will develop. Keep practising in what you want to become good at.

Lady Buddha Diamond Dakini Vajra Yogini, you appear in so many forms, guises and methods out of great compasion to bring me to your paradise of Kechara heaven. Bless me to waste no more time and engage in my spirituality thoroughly and may I see your coral visage soon. Bless me that I surrender all my games, attachments, projections and endless chasing of all that is futile in samsara now.... Tsem Rinpoche

Nice to see this message from the president of the USA wishing Buddhists well. Good leadership respects all religions, cultures and races. This is heartwarming to see.

When the ban first came into place, the monks protested against the ban in Gaden Monastery. Samdong Rinpoche was there and saw the protests which later he and Tibetan leadership took fierce and quick actions to cut all protests and expel all monks who protested. There is no democracy. Dorje Shugden has been practiced by individual and khamtsen group monks in Sera, Drepung and Gaden for four hundred years and suddenly it is not allowed. No religious freedom. What the Tibetan leadership wants, they will impose their will. If you disobey, protest or not agree, you will be banished or silenced.

Every person who has Maha-annutartantra empowerments (Eg. Heruka, Guhyasamaja, Yamantaka, Vajra Yogimi, Chittamani-Tara, Kalacakra, Hevajra, Gyalwa Gyatso Chenresig, etc) should keep a copy of this on their shrine or prayer book. These are all the ritual items tantric practitioner must keep by commitment. If it is in picture form, it is alright also.

This is a simple chart showing the three main psychic channels used in tantric meditations to control the winds, raise tummo (fire energy), gain higher consciousness and insight and also for gaining siddhis. These channels are used in meditations for controlling the mind, when the mind ejects from the body (phowa) and one\'s death. These three channels are very important. Tsem Rinpoche
